Passionate Software Engineer committed to developing technology that empowers Afghan communities and drives national progress.
Roots and Early Life
Mohmmad Imran Amar, son of Abdul Fatah Amar, was born on June 23, 1996, in Qalai-Khater, a small village in Kabul’s 10th district. Raised in a modest household where his father worked as both an artist and a schoolteacher, Imran grew up surrounded by resilience, simplicity, and creativity. Life in the village was filled with challenges, but it was also where his curiosity and determination began to take shape.
A defining moment of his childhood came when electricity first reached his village through solar power. For Imran, this was more than just light — it was a spark that ignited his fascination with technology and its ability to transform lives, setting the foundation for his future path.
Education and Awakening
Imran began his schooling at Rana Private High School in Kabul, where his interest in technology first flourished. To support his education and his family, he worked part-time while dedicating his free time to learning computer skills and exploring digital systems.
In April 2018, he enrolled at Rana University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, specializing in Software Engineering. During his academic journey, he co-founded the Rana Computer Science Club, creating a platform for students to collaborate, share knowledge, and build practical skills. This initiative strengthened his leadership abilities and deepened his commitment to empowering others through technology.
Professional Journey
Mohammad Imran Amar has built a strong foundation in technology and leadership, serving as the Founder and CEO of Sophiana-Tech, where he drives innovation and strategic growth. He has also worked as a Software Engineer at Shaheen Tiz Been, contributing to the development of advanced software solutions. Committed to giving back, he has volunteered as a Software Engineer with Afghanistan Inventor Youth and as an Emergency Services Coordinator with the Ministry of Public Health. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience as an IT Officer at the Ministry of Women Affairs, further strengthening his expertise in information technology and public service

Personal Philosophy
"Innovation and knowledge are most meaningful when used to serve others. By combining technical expertise with a commitment to empowering underserved communities, especially girls deprived of education, every challenge becomes an opportunity to create lasting impact and foster equal opportunities for learning and growth."
